MEDITOXIN® 200u

MEDITOXIN® 200u is a purified botulinum toxin type A complex indicated for both therapeutic and aesthetic applications. Manufactured by Medytox Inc., it is globally recognized and distributed under various brand names such as Siax®, Botulift®, Cunox®, and Neuronox®. It acts by blocking the release of acetylcholine at neuromuscular junctions, leading to temporary muscle paralysis. Clinical trials confirm its equivalent efficacy and safety profile to OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox®), with a 1:1 dose equivalence. The 200-unit format is ideal for treating larger muscle groups or multiple treatment sites in one session.

MEDITOXIN® 200u is reconstituted with 0.9% preservative-free saline and administered intramuscularly using a fine-gauge needle.

• Dilution Guidelines:
  • 1.0 mL → 20 U/0.1 mL
  • 2.0 mL → 10 U/0.1 mL
  • 4.0 mL → 5 U/0.1 mL
  • 8.0 mL → 2.5 U/0.1 mL
• Key Administration Notes:
  
  • Use within 24 hours of reconstitution
  • Administer at least 12 weeks apart
  • Use electromyographic guidance for deep muscles if needed

MEDITOXIN® 200u is indicated for a variety of neuromuscular and cosmetic conditions.

Indications:

• Moderate to severe glabellar lines (adults 18–65)
• Benign essential blepharospasm (18+)
• Equinus foot deformity in pediatric cerebral palsy (2+)
• Post-stroke upper limb spasticity (20+)

Contraindications:

• Known allergy to botulinum toxin or formulation components
• Presence of infection at injection site
• Pregnancy and lactation
• Neuromuscular disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis)

Each vial contains:

• Clostridium botulinum toxin type A complex – 200 units
• Human serum albumin – 1.0 mg
• Sodium chloride – 1.8 mg

Reconstitution required before use.
