RADIESSE® 1.5ml

RADIESSE® 1.5ml is an advanced injectable dermal filler designed for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and for the restoration of facial volume loss. It contains synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier, offering immediate volumizing effects and long-term collagen stimulation. RADIESSE® is biocompatible, non-pyrogenic, and produces results that can last up to 12–18 months. It is FDA-approved and also indicated for HIV-associated facial lipoatrophy.

RADIESSE® 1.5ml is administered via subdermal injection using a 25–27G needle, depending on the treatment site. It is often mixed with lidocaine to reduce pain and ensure patient comfort during injection.

• Injection depth: Subdermal or supraperiosteal
• Recommended needle size: 25G to 27G
• Volume per syringe: 1.5 mL
• May be mixed with: 0.3 mL of 2% lidocaine per 1.5 mL syringe
• Injection technique: Linear threading, fanning, cross-hatching
• Massage after injection: Recommended to smooth out filler
• Do not overcorrect as results develop over time

RADIESSE® is used for facial volume restoration and correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles, especially nasolabial folds, and in patients with HIV-associated lipoatrophy. It is not intended for use in the lips or periorbital area.

Indications:

• Moderate to severe facial wrinkles
• Nasolabial folds
• Facial volume loss due to aging
• Facial lipoatrophy (especially in HIV-positive patients)

Contraindications:

• Severe allergies or anaphylaxis history
• Hypersensitivity to any of the components
• Bleeding disorders
• Active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Use in lips or around eyes is not approved

Common Side Effects:

• Swelling, bruising, redness, pain
• Pruritus, tenderness, lumps, or nodules
• Rare: Intravascular injection complications, skin necrosis, vision impairment

RADIESSE® is composed of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier that supports tissue integration and gradual resorption.

Common Side Effects:

• Ecchymosis (bruising) – up to 63.2%
• Edema (swelling) – up to 69.2%
• Erythema (redness) – up to 66.7%
• Pain – approx. 28.2%
• Pruritus (itching), tenderness, or numbness

Rare but Serious Risks:

• Vascular occlusion, ischemia, or stroke
• Skin necrosis
• Blindness (if injected intravascularly)
• Granuloma or nodule formation
• Contour irregularities

Proper storage is essential to maintain sterility and product performance. Do not freeze or expose to extreme conditions.
